Going Down Under & 50 Things to Eat

by James&Sarah on February 12, 2011

It’s been a bit quiet around here right? That’s because our life looks like this…

We are in the process of moving to Sydney (yay!) therefore are not cooking anything interesting nor talking about anything interesting (unless you find the topic of how best to pack 3 square metres interesting!).

But we just wanted you to know that we HAVEN’T forgotten the blog and that when we move to Sydney we plan to make it an even bigger part of our lives so that you can keep up with what we are up to.

To wet your appetite of things to come (quite literally) I want to share with you a challenge we have set ourselves when we move down under. We found this awesome article The 50 things every Sydney food lover should try in the Sydney Morning Herald and basically we are going to do just that and report back here. Hopefully it will serve as inspiration for James and everyone reading this blog. Here are a few of the things featured…

Longrain's eggnet with pork, prawns peanuts, bean sprouts and sweet vinegar.

Guava snow egg from Quay

School Prawns from De Costi at the Sydney Fish Market.

So please don’t give up on the blog, we will be back to fill our (and your) bellies … just on the other side of the world!

The snow eggs were on Masterchef Australia and looked amazing! Definitely something i’d love to have a go at munching through!

Longrain’s eggnet with pork remind me of the outback chanllenge in Master chef where Kurma’s was cooking omlette with the emu egg.

Hi Obesebaby!

Kumar was my favourite on Masterchef and I thought the same thing! Maybe I’ll get James an Emu egg and see what happens!
