We were invited for a Vietnamese feast at our friend Kim’s house this week…she put us to work but we didn’t mind as it meant we learnt to make her amazing Vietnamese Spring Rolls. YUM YUM YUM…. especially dipped in Hoisin sauce.
Our host Kim, the expert, showing us the ropes.
First you dip 2 rice papers in water and lay them in a figure of 8.
The you place the fresh prawns (in a nice way as you can see them when they are wrapped up)
Then some lettuce and noodles on top.
More prawns, coriander, mint and basil.
Roll away from you and squeeeeeze.
One happy spring roll maker!
Olly gets stuck in for round 2.
A new talent
Meanwhile the beautiful host works on the main course.
The french can make them too!
Man at work.
And the lovely chocolate mousse from Alex to finish it all off!
Thanks Kim & Alex xx
